AMIGOS group thought of taking the kids for a picnic to the Zoo as they haven’t gone to a picnic for a long time.
On 27th Sep, 2009 at round 9.30am Amigos group of 24 picked up the kids in a Volvo bus and started the journey to the Zoo. We played Anthakshari on the way, all the kids were up to date with all the new songs that none of team members could be in the same phase. Few of the kids danced to the tunes while remaining kids sang all the possible new songs one can think of. We reached the Zoo in about an hour or so. We started by getting into the internal Zoo train. Kids loved it as we covered many animals on the way. Later we saw tigers and lions, there was a beautiful huge white tiger which the kids loved a lot. Then we saw deer, Giraffe which was the new attraction over there. We had a lunch break in between and then covered few other animals which include peacocks, crocodiles, and different kinds of birds. And in the last we went to the reptile park, kids were amazed by the huge snakes, Python, Sniper, few Tortoise e.t.c. At around 5.30pm we headed back with all the kids exhausted with all the fun they had at the Zoo.
AMIGOS team headed back home with heart filled happiness of spending a wonderful day with those kids. And one message we would like to convey to the society is that these kids shouldn’t be abandoned as they are the same as all other kids in the world except that they need to be given lots of love, attention and care.
We, AMIGOS team hope to continue the same enthusiasm in participating in all the events and hope to make a difference in the society.
